The Brief: This project was a little unusual in that I was hired by a exhibit designer, who was hired by a general contractor to provide design services to their client, Chegg. Despite the three degrees of separation, the relationship was actually great and they even did their homework. Our scope was to design multiple brand activations throughout their office for locations that had already been identified as potential EGD moments by their internal brand team.
Have some fun. Make it Big. Make It witty. Make it Chegg!

Chegg supplied this rich collection of inspirational imagery, setting the tone for the visual expression we would explore, which made for a great start to the creative process.
I began with an audit of the Chegg-supplied EGD plan and determined that our strategy would be to design various journeys through the office, based on visitor-types we identified as a group. Designing journeys in this manner allowed me to modulate the experience between passive and active engagements. We then chose six locations, based on the construction schedule we were aligning with, to begin conceptual design. The remaining 12 locations would come in later construction phases.
