What started as a short film I wrote, directed, and produced, ended as a teaser for one of Sony’s biggest first-person shooter franchises.
The film is set in Azerbaijan and features the kidnapping and subsequent rescue of a French-born American reporter by a covert multi-branch military operation. The footage for this film was subsequently sold to Sony Computer Entertainment of America for use in an ad campaign by Double Negative.
Pre-production took one year. Principle production took place over a week on Angel Island in San Francisco. CA. with additional green screen footage also being shot in SF. Post production was completed by graduate students at the Academy of Art University.
Actors received training in weapons safety and handling in addition to movement-to-contact and Immediate action drills, in order to sell the authenticity on screen.
